Information used by this site
You can read guides and browse the catalog without creating an account. The public comment form asks for a nickname and comment text, not an email address or website. The site also stores technical comment data, including the IP address and browser user-agent, which can be used for moderation and abuse prevention. The server may record requests in its operational logs.
Comments and contact messages
Every reader comment is held for manual moderation. Approved nicknames and comments become public on the relevant article; do not include private information in them. Unapproved comments are not published. If you email us, your email address and the information you choose to send are available in that correspondence.
Preferences and optional services
Your browser stores the selected color theme and privacy choice locally so the site can remember your preferences. The site does not load advertising or analytics services.
Requests about your information
To ask about a comment or request its removal, identify the article, nickname and approximate posting time. Do not send account passwords as proof. We may need enough context to distinguish your material from another reader’s.
